I'm still taking pictures! Pretty sure I'm nearing 900 shots taken on my Panasonic. That thing needs a name. It's special enough for one. Not "Pany," though, but maybe something cheesy like that. Panama. Or something. >_>

Just today I took a picture of a caterpillar that was hanging from a tree on a little silky line. Wiggling. Blowing in the breeze so much so that my batteries nearly died as I tried for minutes to 1) catch it in the range of the macro and 2) focus in time to shoot. Ended up failing when the caterpillar somehow ended up on my lens barrel. Whoops. Still had his (her?) line, though, so I held it up in front of my lens and shot a few times while I was confident he hadn't reached my hand yet (he winds himself up on the line he has...and will eventually reach the top, yikes. Stuck him back on the tree when I was done. Hope he's okay with that.

Mostly macro stuff, though, which is boring but soooo pretty. Took some really nice pictures of one of the cats the other day. She was all sleepy and content and just stayed in cute poses for me without me having to ask or encourage. It was wonderful. I might have to get back into editing so you can see one or two of those shots. Haven't opened the Gimp in weeks, maybe even months. Been exploring other facets of life, namely writing.

Saw a job posting for bookseller recently and was transported to a nice daydream about a quiet, lexical job environment. Mmmm....
